Janie Segui Rodriguez is the dynamic Founder & CEO of Stop The Wait RI, where she advocates for equitable educational opportunities. A proud graduate of Roger Williams University, Janie holds a master's degree in community development, reflecting her commitment to uplifting communities.

Motivated by her experiences as a parent navigating the public school system, she created an organization that supports parents in this journey and developed programs like the Parent Academy to empower them as strong advocates for their children.

In 2021, Janie mobilized over 400 parents to successfully oppose a proposed three-year moratorium on charter school expansions in Rhode Island. She recognizes that students thrive with educational options and that families deserve agency in choosing the best schools for their children. Her tireless spirit inspires her two daughters and drives her mission to bring transformative change to the education landscape.
